Nokta (the "app") is a location-based dating and discovery app. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the app, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It is written to match what the app actually does.
Account information. When you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, the identity provider sends us a unique user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email address. If you use "Hide My Email" with Sign in with Apple, we only ever see the relay address. We never see your password.
Profile information. Your display name, date of birth (used for the 18+ check and for matching), your city, your profile photo if you add one, and your invite code.
Location. The app uses your location to show you moments around you and to place the moment you leave at the right spot. Location is only read while you are using the app ("While Using the App" permission); there is no background location tracking. Your precise location is stored on the server to position the moment, but it is never shown precisely to other users.
Your content. The photos you take in the moments you leave, the questions and answers you write, and the messages you send.
Usage data. Which moments you open, who viewed your profile, your diamond balance and transaction records, and your daily allowances.
Notification data. If you grant notification permission, your device's push token.
Safety data. Reports you submit, users you block, and restrictions applied for breaking the rules.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
The app uses the following service providers. They process data only on our behalf:

No advertising, analytics or tracking provider is used.
Other users can see: your display name, your profile photo, the photo and question of the moments you leave, the approximate location of those moments on the map, and the messages you send once a conversation has started. Your date of birth, your email address and your precise location are never shown to other users.
We may share your data with the authorities only where legally required, or to protect the safety of users.
Your data is kept for as long as your account is open. You can permanently delete your account from inside the app via Settings → Delete my account. Deletion covers your profile, your moments, your photos, your messages and your balance; it cannot be undone.
Where an account has been banned for breaking the rules, we keep an irreversible hash of the identity to prevent the same person opening a new account. That record does not reveal your identity.
Under GDPR and Turkish data protection law (KVKK), you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected, to request its deletion, to object to its processing, and to receive a copy of it. Send your requests to destek@nokta.app.
The app is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Accounts found to belong to someone under 18 are closed.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Photos are only reachable through time-limited, signed links. No system is completely secure; in the event of a breach we will notify affected users within the period required by law.
This policy may be updated. For significant changes we will notify you inside the app and update the date on this page.
